Riding Camps:
A Guide for Parents
and Caregivers

Riding camps are an essential financial component to commercial barns in urban horse communities but also serve as a community service, marketing opportunity, and after-school and parks and recreation programs. The riding camp guide and camp safety checklist assessment are designed to help parents and caregivers how to identify a safe camp. In collaboration with the American Camping Association (ACA) and the Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) the following guidelines help to assess the safety of a riding camp.
